GrenCo Industries Ltd. manufactures a complete product line of equipment to supply "Progressing Cavity Pump Artificial Lift" applications. This technology uses a downhole progressing cavity pump driven via a sucker rod string, using a surface wellhead drive either by electric or hydraulic power. Progressing cavity pump artificial lift technology has numerous advantages compared to other types of lift systems including: low capital investment, high system efficiency, low power consumption, capacity to pump oils and waters with solids, no internal valves to clog or gas lock, quiet operation, simple installation with minimal maintenance costs, portable and lightweight surface equipment and low surface profile for visual- and height-sensitive areas. With the benefit of historical data, innovations have broadened application of this technology beyond heavy and medium sand-laden crude oil and bitumen, to production applications for medium crude oil with limits on H2S and CO2, light crude oil with limits on aromatic content, high water cuts, dewatering gas wells such as unconventional gas from coal seams, mature waterfloods and high temperature application, such as SAGD.
